Types of Plants & Trees

For all of us working in PSTS it's clear that the plants and trees have to be the choise of the surrounding villages. Since the Jatropha Curcas is new for the people as a cash crop, we are combining the Jatropha with fruit trees, mahogany and a variety of indigenous trees, taking in consideration the tribal traditional backgrounds. PSTS recommends Jatropha Curcas, in the Gambia known as Tabanane for all communities, since Jatropha will improve their daily lives as is explained on the Jatropha Curcas page.

PSTS will plant the following trees and plants:

Mahogany

Jatropha Curcas

Mango trees

Orange trees

Mandarin trees

Lime trees

Avocado trees

Moringa trees

Malina trees

Eucalyptus trees

and many more
